I think it might be because the ambient temperature is too high...if the engine shuts down then there is no coolant flowing....and that can heat soak the motor making it too hot to run, but that's just my guess.....I live in West Texas and have had a few 100° days and the auto stop works alot...

@Dean have you thought about maybe printing words on it that correspond to the key position? Kinda like this image?

Hello all! I just wanted to introduce myself and show off this ranger I just got. It's a 2019 XLT and I got it on April 7 and I've loved it since then. Any questions just ask!

I had a 18 focus and had to have the shifting solenoid replaced right after I got it because it was shifting rough. Annnnd the horn didn't work when I bought it. But other then those two issues I never had another issue in the 30k I had it before trading it for my 19 ranger.
