Update to this. It was the size of the drive. There must have not been enough room for Sync3 to move files around. It worked after I used a 32GB drive and it worked fine.

Nothing else that big no. All the other jump drives I have are between 4 and 8 GB. I can try a different one tomorrow.

I used ForScan to disable my Auto S/S but might reactivate it now and just buy a LED Light. It'd be convenient to have one back there anyway if you can find one that's not super bright.
