Another option would be something like a Decked drawer system. When the tailgate is locked, the drawers cannot be accessed. There is also an option to add a lock to the drawers. That does not help if you need the rifle in the cab. If it does not need to be in the cab, the drawer system keeps it...

Shadow Black with the black appearance package, unless of course you ever want it to look clean. I don't think mine has actually been clean since I drove it off the lot, despite having washed it several times. However, still love the way it looks, even when dirty.
