Yes that's deer hair in the tire bead. I think the wheel actually took most of the hit.
I'm very grateful there wasn't more visible damage and thankfully it is drivable. The outermost parking sensor isn't working, along with the cruise and collision avoidance. Headed to the autobody shop today.
Leaving work this morning around 5am and a deer clips me 2 minutes into my commute. Truck was just shy of being 4 months old. Hopefully the body shop can get parts. Amazingly there is no paint damage but I don't know if the bumper can be bent back into place. One of the dents on the quarter...
I've got the bad luck as well. About 3500 miles on my ranger and I have about a half dozen rock chips on the windshield already. No tailgating and I try to leave a considerable distance between the car in front of me. Maybe one chip on the front bumper paint, but my windshield is like a magnet.
Hi all. Jay from NJ. Been reading up on the forum since Nov and picked up my ranger on Dec 27. Couldn't pass up the holiday discounts. It's a 2019 XLT SCrew FX4, 301a with tech, trailer, and black appearance packages. Love it so far and thanks to all the members on here for the good info.
