Wow, RAM build and price for this thing, I'm at 89K.... I don't see a tail gate damper option though... I don't know, 700+hp off road truck..... Reminds me of the Dodge Ram SRT-10 (Viper engine) or the Ford Lightning way back.... cool & fast street trucks.... a lot happening on the dash too....
Short answer: No
Long Answer: Opinions are like you know what, every one has one. As others have said do what you like man! Hell I bought one too and even had it painted to match the magnetic gray trim so there! I didn't like the big "blue" oval Ford emblem so I opt'd for the larger in your face...
In my forum travels over the years, I've read that blocking those cab vents might not be a very good idea - air bags. I hope they are never needed but when they are, the displaced air needs to go somewhere real fast and that's out those cab vents....
I feel your pain... I added a set of tie downs to the bed as well, after the LineX of course. The set arrived and like a kid in a candy store, "great, I get to use tools!", I went at it. Instead of chasing the holes clean with a 8x1.25 tapered tap, I managed to cross thread the first bolt...
My wife drives our 2019 Ranger, 4x2, CC, level kit, aftermarket Nitto AT (wider, maybe a little taller) tires. According to the computer, it's getting a steady 17.5 mixed driving. I drive a 2018 F150 4x4, 3.5L, CC, stock and get 17.8 mixed driving. If I baby the F150, I get 19/20. If I could...
This is exactly why I'm going with the factory retrofit. I don't want it looking like an after thought. Yes it costs more, it takes more effort to install it (I'm not in a hurry), but it's worth it to me.
I didn't convert, but added the Ranger. The Ranger is for my wife (I already have a 2018 F150 CC). She was running around in a 2014 Jeep JKU that she was tired of (they're every where in CTX!). She likes being able to throw rocks, mulch, plants, etc. in the back of her Jeep, so a truck made...
I thought about the left A-pillar too but didn't want to mess around with the side curtain air bag in any way... especial since key power is only a few inches away at the rear view mirror ;-)
Wow! I thought I had the last one on the planet :) I had a '91 with a six and a four speed, drove it for 220K miles.... When you go to tow with your Ranger, you'll notice right off the bat, when you leave a stop, it just goes off the line. The combination of the 1st and 2nd gear (very low in the...
I installed the Ford hitch myself. Yeah, not the cheapest route, but I wanted it factory. If it's the facia I'm thinking of, you have to be very careful to pinch the tabs, one by one (there's a few of them) to release it properly. Chances are the tech didn't take the time to do that and...
I agree with Jerry here. Our Ranger is also 2WD that replaced my wife's '14 Jeep JKU. I was hesitant on the 2WD, mainly because of resale value (she doesn't offload). We test drove an FX4 (a few times) and while my wife didn't notice, I could feel more roll and jousting on uneven/whoop-de-doo...
Hey Sandman..... Most installs vary, but I tried to follow the AMP instructions as much as possible. Even still, I had to use some trial and error on the wire routing.
Where is the hole drilled on driver side for wiring? From underneath the truck, on the drivers side, right about in line with...
They do show a lot more than the full sized trucks, but I got used to it. I probably have the worse color (next to white), silver and with the black boards, you really see them. I gotta say though, that they look alright and go with the truck IMO......
I have to say I wasn't thrilled about how much the board shows along the rocker when it's retracted. On my F150 and Dodge, they tuck way under the rocker, up and away and are almost completely hidden. Once I got going on the install on my Ranger though, I quickly realized why the board shows...
I use them (and expect my passengers to use them) every time I get in and out of the truck. Most people getting out of most trucks opt to "slide" off the seat, bypass the running board and head straight for the ground. I've had to many seat bolsters get rubbed down to the foam, torn, lost thigh...
I have the GoRhino DSS. I liked the way they tuck up high under the rocker, drain water, stay pretty clean, easy to install, not so boxy or thick looking from the side.....but it's still a bit of step up for shorter legs. I recently installed a set of AMP Research power steps. When you open the...
You know, after installing mine (perfectionist), I think the length is a design trade off for two reasons.
1) The truck body/rocker flares outward at each end; behind the front tire and in front of the rear tire. So to keep the step as close to the body/rocker as possible, they shorten it.
2)...
