    I know there's camping at the Carolina Beach state park not far from there. Tent and RV camping. There's a marina there as well. There may be some other camping areas around but I'm not familiar with any.

    Its not Freeman Park....its Fort Fisher beach...entry is by the state park office. 30 dollars a day on weekends or 90 for a year pass

    Yup! Stock height and wheels. I plan on putting a 2.5 inch lift and larger tires on at some point but have had no issues on the beach and we've been out there several times. Bought the year pass. I do let the air out of the tires though. I've seen large trucks and jeeps get stuck out there but...

    Took "Bruce" out on the 4x4 beach at Fort Fisher today. Awesome trip and the Ranger did great. No issues driving on the beach at all....can't wait to go again!!!!
