You will need a spacer with the stock rims, even if lifted. With the stock 255/60/17 I could barely fit a finger in between the spindle bracket. I ended up having to bite the bullet and swing new rims with an offset. You should be fine with just 1/2 spacer on the stock rims. I went with...

Installed ( actually pulled sticker off) the Black Stainless steel letters from Ford Accessories. I wasn't sure if I would like them, but I'm super happy the way they look on the Black.
So I bought 285/70/17 and every shop I called to have them mounted won't touch them if there are spacers installed. I actually purchased a set of 1.5 6x139.7mm, but no one around here will install with new tires. They all say it's a liability and I should purchase new rims from them...
