Absolutely. I did a basic check for them from the top by feel and didn't notice anything. I was thinking the issues were caused by the tugging on the plug while the harness was on the fan drive shaft, creating a network packet-loss type of issue as it bounced on it. I couldn't see or feel much...
My turn for this one. Truck was idling kinda funny with a ton of inconsistent vibration, and weird bumpy acceleration from a stop. Looked inside the bay to check for anything moving around while it was running and found this.
No problems anymore idling in the driveway after manually moving it...
Fake license aren't the issue. Nearly half aren't insured, but plenty of morons with licenses drive like crap here. It's the worst drivers I've seen. Though Maryland is close, but that's mostly that 80% of them go 5-10 under the limit without traffic.
I was able to get a cheap one for about $70 but I didn't realize it was digital/tone only instead of physical. It's worked for now but I need to shell out a bit more for a proper mechanical one.
I'm replacing all of them on that wheel and checking all the other wheels.
New wheel studs and a torque wrench arrived from Amazon today. Waiting on the lug nuts and jack stands now.
Edit:
I got all the deliveries in time to change out the (all six) lug studs and get the wheel back on before...
BLUF: I changed my brakes due to a noise problem and a month later arrived home with 2/6 lug nuts and 3/6 wheel studs left on my front passenger side wheel. Nearly f***ing died or killed someone else without even knowing it. This is almost certainly a "novice is an idiot" situation.
So around...
Another minor fender bender I caught today.(Note: Camera time is off by a few hours - more like 3 PM). Gave the driver of the victim car my name/number if they need the video for insurance but the younger guy who hit her appeared to be owning up to it and I haven't heard anything since.
I...
Sorry if this is a bump, been a while since I posted here. Got this on my camera a while ago: at fault driver bumps another driver who was yielding appropriately. I stopped and gave them both my contact info and got an email address from the victim and sent them the dash cam.
That was my thought, it also points be to this not being a crackhead or something.
The punch hole on the tailgate is small. I got some footage from my left neigbhor - they turned their lights off a couple houses down and then sat at my house for over a minute without getting out - then his...
It appears I'm the newest victim of this, didn't even know it was a thing.
Police took the report over the phone and gave me a report number for insurance. Progressive has been good so far dealing with the claim.
I have a 21 foot Rockwood that's 5400# loaded; My tip on tow driving is max 60 mph in perfect conditions. I've been towing it 1-2 weekends a month - much of that into hill country - for nearly two years now and never had a problem with my '19 XLT.
EDIT:
Tight fit at Bastrop State Park, Texas...
I have the 2020, great trailer. I tow it with my '19 ranger through hill country no problem. I keep it under 65 at all times, lower in bad conditions. I'm usually at 60mph and get about 10-11.5 on average. I keep a couple 5 gallon gas cans (full) in the bed on trips just in case.
One tip...
The truck actually has a frontal square footage rating. All trucks do; the Ranger is 55sqft, including the Ranger's own frontal coverage (44sqft IIRC, so 11sqft to spare). The warning on violating this is gas mileage, but not damage. The unspoken truth is that as you violate that rating, the...
LMAO I'm sorry, I misread that as the dry weight. Ignore my post then.
Yea my RV dealer didn't sell trucks, most don't. I told them I had a '19 ranger and they said "a what?". They had never even seen one before (I bought it before the TT knowing I was going for a small trailer, It's me and two...
My TT is ~5300 loaded and I think I'm pushing the realistic limits, ~4800lb unloaded weight.
The issue you're going to have is that when you load up whatever toy those trailers are hauling is that you will likely be damn near the max weight - if not over - for the Ranger, depending on the toy...
I'm in San Antonio (obviously, from the other post, and the profile to the left of each post, and...). It doesn't get as hot here but it does get bad. Had about a month and a half last year where 101-104 was the norm. Not quite AZ, but hotter than most other parts of the U.S.
1. Always get the...
... How did texting make that idiot swerve sharply into oncoming traffic out of no where? It doesn't look like they were about to hit the car in front of them. Seems like they could have easily stopped in time.
