Well apparently the final solution to the problem was replacing the aspirator valve assembly. There is apparently a check valve in the vacuum assembly that allows air to flow in both directions. Mine was stuck closed thanks for stopping the flow of pressure into the brake booster sensor...

Additional Update: After replacing the connector they took the truck out and finally got the error. With the warning lights still on they were able to trace the problem (hopefully) to a valve in the vacuum bundle. They're driving it some more today to verify. If this fixes it I will post the...

Well, Ford kept my truck. They say they need the light on to change any parts under warranty. They're going to have a technician drive it on the same track I did and see if they can get the message. Gave me an F150 to drive... After driving it for 1/2 hour I know I made the right choice...

Actually also looks like a bunch of dirty people have been popping in and out of that car. Light colored seats at a car show doesn't seem like a great idea to me. I agree, doesn't look like wear. I've had leather in my last truck and my wife's Subaru and it's held up well.

Sounds like we have the same problem. I looked at the paperwork from the last visit and it said there was a stored code P050F which translates to Brake Assist Vacuum Too Low. I'm betting this is going to be the same result. Going to the dealer on Friday afternoon. Bernie

Thought I'd give an update.. Drove the truck back to camp today and got the message again.. actually in the same stretch of highway which is kinda weird. Has no one else seen this message? Back it goes.

I can confirm that they are painted. I had one go bad that the dealer replaced under warranty. I went in for my initial appt and they sent me home because the sensor only came with primer and they had to send it to their body shop to be painted

Plus there are times when you want to leave the tailgate down to haul something longer and the last thing you want is the light on in the truck while that happens. You could maybe wire it to one of the door sensors

I have a Gator EFX cover and haven't had an issue closing the tailgate. It doesn't seem to have impeded the tailgate in any way.
