I was about 2/3 of the way through my 2.5-hour drive to go do the test drive when the dealer emailed that when they checked on it in the morning, it had a warning light that needed a part to fix, but the part wouldn't be...
By "insurance quote" I meant I called my current insurer and asked "what would my premium be if I kept all the same coverage amounts but swapped my Ram 1500 for this vehicle with that VIN?" I'm guessing that the Ram driver reputation is biting me here. Or maybe the fact my current truck has 4x4...
I got an insurance quote on one, and the Frontier would be ~$695 more a year to insure. (Obviously that number may be different for other people based on a gazillion variables, but in general the Ranger is cheaper to insure in California.)
Will those show up when it's warmed up? I'm driving a long distance for the test drive at a set appointment, so I'm sure I won't get a chance to try a cold startup.

I'm possibly joining the Ranger family, looking at a 2020 Lariat SCrew 4x2. My dad has a 2019 Lariat SCab 4x2 that he likes a lot.
