Update: ended up tapping it myself. Easier than I would have expected. Just got a cheap metric tap and die from Harbor Freight and had the mirror on quick.

I think that's what I'll end up doing. Had the dealer order another mirror and it's the same. They told me to tap it myslef.

I thought I was crazy at first but the first mirror I bought definitely had threads for the screw.
