I think where I am confused is that the DPFE replacement fixed my problem but then it came back 3 months later with the same symptoms. Could that still be related to spark plugs or transmission?

If I understand @MrBusses correctly, he is suggesting that those who still have problems after replacing the DPFE sensor try replacing the EGR tube as well (LB5Z-9E469-B).

Would you happen to have the part number for the EGR tube? Just want to make sure I am looking at the right thing.

I'm curious if you tried replacing yours again. I replaced mine in February, and I am now starting to get the same symptoms I had before.

I just registered to post that I read every page in this thread, changed out the sensor, and it fixed the problems I was having. It took about 15 minutes and a pair of needle-nose channel locks. Thanks!
