  1. Low oil pressure warning

I don’t have the codes in front of me but apparently the short/grounded/loose wire is somewhere in the main harness and not with the actual oil pressure sensor or solenoid. Thanks for the info
  2. Low oil pressure warning

lol didn’t work. “Doesn’t qualify for powertrain warranty” and I called several Ford customer service numbers, spoke to managers. Basically Ford is telling me to go f*k myself. It’ll be the last one I own. May not mean much to them but they lost a loyal customer
  3. Low oil pressure warning

Also I mentioned for them to look at the previous repair/issue done just a year ago and they stated “found no issues with fan clutch or wiring/hose issues. Found oil in in oil sending unit/ solenoid. Replaced, cleaned wires and code went away temporarily before throwing same low oil pressure light”
  4. Low oil pressure warning

Their techs seemed uninterested in finding the issue. After a day and a half of troubleshooting, they gave up. Ford customer service was no help and any other line I called couldn’t help me. The techs just gave up and called the Ford engineers, which basically shrugged and told them to replace...
  5. Low oil pressure warning

Well here I am over a year later. Fan clutch was replaced along with blown fuses and oil pressure sensor. Now I get just the low oil pressure indicator light and car eventually goes into limp mode, dealership had two master techs look it over and attempt to troubleshoot, called a Ford engineer...
  6. So i drove my 2019 straight to the dealership when had loss of power bogging and dash lighting up... seen its the tube sensor thing going to clutch fa

Yes, mine came in on the 13th and they fixed it the same day. It's ridiculous that you haven't gotten yours yet. Took me almost a month to get it.
  7. So i drove my 2019 straight to the dealership when had loss of power bogging and dash lighting up... seen its the tube sensor thing going to clutch fa

Mine has been in the shop almost 3 weeks now. Waiting for the part...backordered until the 13th apparently. Originally back ordered until August 31st but it keeps going up. Getting ridiculous.

I'm sorry man, that sucks. I'm fortunate that the current Ford service place my ranger is at, did great work with my mustang and has helpful people who do what they can for their customers. I've had my fair share of awful service departments and this ones the best. They also warranty their work...

Yeah its been very noticeable for me on newer motorcycles. Euro 5 specs are forcing manufacturers to use bigger engines to get the same performance since the engines are so corked up and ran a bit lean. I'm rooting for hydrogen so I don't have to get rid of the vroom vroom engines completely ?
  10. So i drove my 2019 straight to the dealership when had loss of power bogging and dash lighting up... seen its the tube sensor thing going to clutch fa

Yes and luckily with that blown it still flows oil through the engine mechanically I believe, which saves the engine from oil starvation. Still an odd setup though

This!!! I am not an engineer but I work with engineers and I could never see where that would be approved...maybe shaving some money off of cost by running everything together...but still. How'd that get approved?!?! I was in limp mode, trying to get home with no power to anything, even the AC...
  12. So i drove my 2019 straight to the dealership when had loss of power bogging and dash lighting up... seen its the tube sensor thing going to clutch fa

I have a standard factory warranty, currently only power train is left. That covers the oil pressure sensor, but im out 1200 bucks for everything else. Not sure if they're planning on putting any warranty on the new parts or labor. Might be looking at getting a Toyota if it gives me anymore...
  13. So i drove my 2019 straight to the dealership when had loss of power bogging and dash lighting up... seen its the tube sensor thing going to clutch fa

Very detailed and, I'm assuming, accurate description of what most likely happened. Very concerning that it failed after 20k miles. I'm probably going to try and set it up in a way that gives the harness a little bit of play but not too much. Thanks for the tips. Not the best engineering design...
  14. So i drove my 2019 straight to the dealership when had loss of power bogging and dash lighting up... seen its the tube sensor thing going to clutch fa

Yes, Bad fan clutch caused short in wiring and also blew the oil pressure sensor. Not the best engineering design in the world, that's for sure
  15. So i drove my 2019 straight to the dealership when had loss of power bogging and dash lighting up... seen its the tube sensor thing going to clutch fa

Just the one I stated earlier. P0034. There were others I believe but I don't recall their number. Blown number 12 fuse, low oil pressure light, check engine light, no A/C. Vehicle in limp mode. With as much as that fuse is hooked up to, I'm assuming it can be quite a few codes. When the fan...
  16. So i drove my 2019 straight to the dealership when had loss of power bogging and dash lighting up... seen its the tube sensor thing going to clutch fa

Yes there is also some wiring/harness replacement/repair in there as well. If it fails again I will be handling it myself. I'm no master mechanic but I'm fairly skilled and could tackle the job. Sent it to the dealer in hopes for warranty work. Oh well. Thats life. I honestly don't see 1275 for...
  17. So i drove my 2019 straight to the dealership when had loss of power bogging and dash lighting up... seen its the tube sensor thing going to clutch fa

Yeah my Ranger only has 20k miles on it. Makes me super paranoid that this will happen again. Ford is really proud of those fan clutches, especially for them to not be warrantied lol maybe there is something I can do to better secure the wiring myself.
  18. So i drove my 2019 straight to the dealership when had loss of power bogging and dash lighting up... seen its the tube sensor thing going to clutch fa

Uhg, bad news for me. The guy misspoke. It wasn't a fuel sensor. It was an oil pressure sensor. Got the part in today. Fuse back in. Blew immediately. Short caused by the fan clutch 1275 dollar fix, not covered by power train warranty, obviously. ?
  19. So i drove my 2019 straight to the dealership when had loss of power bogging and dash lighting up... seen its the tube sensor thing going to clutch fa

The code I cleared personally was a P0034, which popped up again. i believe there are others as well as that code. Don't remember off the top of my head. Will report as much info as I can get
  20. So i drove my 2019 straight to the dealership when had loss of power bogging and dash lighting up... seen its the tube sensor thing going to clutch fa

I, too thought it was strange as I didn't see anything related to the fuel system for that fuse. I will speak with them more tomorrow maybe get the part number for the exact sensor replaced
