I hope it's that simple. There's a 10mm wrench on board now for disconnecting battery to reset, just in case it happens in a place with no cel coverage. I often fish in places where the walk out to signal would be an unpleasant sort of adventure.
Mine did similar yesterday after being parked 15 minutes. Wouldn't open, when I used the key, truck was unresponsive to turning on the ignition. Opened the app to access roadside assistance, and on a whim asked the app to unlock. Truck unlocked and everything worked. Just fine.

I love my 2023 even more than my 94 5.0 RCLB F150 4x4. And that's saying a lot. Though I could camp in the back of the 150 and that's definitely a no-go in the Ranger. The Ranger may not be the most refined vehicle I've ever owned, but I have zero complaints - it's a truck.
