  1. What’s with all the Ranger hate reviews?

hmmm the problem there is incentives...I got $11k off my F150, which came out to be $900 cheaper than a comparable Ranger with options that are non existent in the Ranger.
  2. Ford Authority: Next-Gen Ranger Rumored To Get Twin-Turbo V6 Engine

Yessss...if priced right, this would tip me over from a F150. another powertrain option that would fit like a glove here would the be 3.3V6 hybrid focused on mpg - boy this would be perfect for me.
  3. Ranger Vs 2.3 Mustang

so interesting...I had the opposite reaction, I thought the Ranger was very underpowered - granted it was a crew cab.
  4. F150 to Ranger

that’s a surprise! My F150 msrp was $54k, but Ford (and some negotiation) brought the price down to $39k - mine is a Lariat crew cab with the 2.7L
  5. 2019 Ranger Achieves the Best Monthly Sales of the Year, Sold 7,893 in July

for sure it is, but it felt like a 7.5-8s truck vs the 2.7L with 400lbft of torque....this engine is freaking fast! I can do burn outs easily!!
  6. 2019 Ranger Achieves the Best Monthly Sales of the Year, Sold 7,893 in July

yeah, the biggest challenge is price I think - it’s too darn close to the F150, so people (like me, for example) just take the bullet...plus the 4cyl engine didn’t quite cut it for me in terms of performance.
  7. Side by side with a Jeep Gladiator

I am failing to see any major difference lol
  8. Side by side with a Jeep Gladiator

Whole that Gladiator looks bad ass!! They are too pricey though.
  9. Effect of start/stop on turbo?

same here...plus I only saw a 0.4mpg improvement in my F150 2.7....why the hell go through all this trouble for nothing?! I know it’s EPA’s fault though. I gladly disabled mine!
  10. Who's Ordering a 2020 Ranger? What Changes Will It Get?

both the Hybrid powertrain (which really doesn’t bring any advantages since Ford said it tuned it for ā€˜performance’....which is a weird approach to me since I’d expect more mpg than more performance out of a hybrid, but that’s me...) and the 2.7 don’t fit in the Ranger... Ford is redesigning...
  11. Horrible MPG's

Others here are misrepresenting their commute...their definition of city driving must be very different than the one you guys are experiencing...
  12. 2019 Ranger Achieves the Best Monthly Sales of the Year, Sold 7,893 in July

I haven’t seen a single one!!! I bet most people are experiencing sticker shock...I wanted a Ranger but how could I have said no to a F150, with the amazing 2.7TT for $1000 less?!
  13. Anyone experience this on a Ranger?

19 F150 owner here, I haven’t experience this issue yet. The transmission does feel less refined than others, I feel like downshifts could happen faster, I remediate this by manually controlling the gears when I am merging
  14. Horrible MPG's

In the F150, eliminating the start stop system is super easy, right under the steering wheel there are 3 connectors - remove the small one that is in the bottom and boom.....auto stop/start is disabled :-D... I.e. your mpg is bad...I have a 19 F150 2.7L crew 4x4 and get 20mpg in the city...
  15. Ford Ranger Sales Doubled in Q2; Ford Second Quarter Total Pickup Sales Strongest In 15 Years

I love how rosy this sounded...the situation is a lot more delicate for Ford, look at the aggregate numbers...Ford sales are down significantly.
  16. Ranger Discounts in July are Insignificant

Canada discounts are huge...$4k on the hood, still doesn’t make up the difference - the F150 has $12k, so it’s a non brainer to buy one over the Ranger.
  17. Ford Ranger Sales Doubled in Q2; Ford Second Quarter Total Pickup Sales Strongest In 15 Years

Interesting hey!! That shows how slow sales are going....
  18. 2019 Ranger MPGs

So shocking! Most of you guys are driving F150 2.7L without the same grunt...Ford should have dropped that engine in the Ranger instead.
  19. First Encounter in the "Wild" (Ranger's Spotted Megathread)

I haven’t seen one in the wild yet....beyond the 8 the local dealer I deal with has in stock, including the one in blue I test drive. I am quite surprised by this...we are in SUV and Truck territory...and I have seen many new Blazers, Passports. Maybe sales for the Ranger aren’t as strong as...
