hmmm the problem there is incentives...I got $11k off my F150, which came out to be $900 cheaper than a comparable Ranger with options that are non existent in the Ranger.
Yessss...if priced right, this would tip me over from a F150.
another powertrain option that would fit like a glove here would the be 3.3V6 hybrid focused on mpg - boy this would be perfect for me.
yeah, the biggest challenge is price I think - itās too darn close to the F150, so people (like me, for example) just take the bullet...plus the 4cyl engine didnāt quite cut it for me in terms of performance.
same here...plus I only saw a 0.4mpg improvement in my F150 2.7....why the hell go through all this trouble for nothing?! I know itās EPAās fault though. I gladly disabled mine!
both the Hybrid powertrain (which really doesnāt bring any advantages since Ford said it tuned it for āperformanceā....which is a weird approach to me since Iād expect more mpg than more performance out of a hybrid, but thatās me...) and the 2.7 donāt fit in the Ranger...
Ford is redesigning...
I havenāt seen a single one!!! I bet most people are experiencing sticker shock...I wanted a Ranger but how could I have said no to a F150, with the amazing 2.7TT for $1000 less?!
19 F150 owner here, I havenāt experience this issue yet. The transmission does feel less refined than others, I feel like downshifts could happen faster, I remediate this by manually controlling the gears when I am merging
In the F150, eliminating the start stop system is super easy, right under the steering wheel there are 3 connectors - remove the small one that is in the bottom and boom.....auto stop/start is disabled :-D...
I.e. your mpg is bad...I have a 19 F150 2.7L crew 4x4 and get 20mpg in the city...
Canada discounts are huge...$4k on the hood, still doesnāt make up the difference - the F150 has $12k, so itās a non brainer to buy one over the Ranger.
I havenāt seen one in the wild yet....beyond the 8 the local dealer I deal with has in stock, including the one in blue I test drive.
I am quite surprised by this...we are in SUV and Truck territory...and I have seen many new Blazers, Passports. Maybe sales for the Ranger arenāt as strong as...
