I went from "I'm not screwing with this" 8 weeks ago to running 93, then CVF D/P to a 3" Flowmaster (too goddamn loud, like a Japanese bike) then a S&B CAI, just ordered CVF hot / cold pipes and an intercooler... Next is picking a tuner
I took maybe an hour, slow incase I needed to put the oem one back. If I had to do it again I would have put the downstream o2 sensor restrictor in first, if you get an angled one it wont turn in the down pipe when it is bolted in
I did the CVF down pipe with a 3" flow FX cat back and S&B intake all the same week, the acceleration without a tune is drastically improved. (you can get on the top down pipe bolt with a ratchet and extensions)
Anyone mated the 3" downpipe to the 3" exhaust, I tried the search feature... The CVF part comes with a 2.5 step down and I'm looking to go 3" the whole way. I'm guessing I need to cut the cat back at the start before the flex pipe. in addition I added a S&B CAI, seems to run ok the way it is...
