    My engine light flipped on at 74k miles. Ford app says "detected the egr pressure sensor signal is not as expected when the vehicle is at idle". Think just a sensor is needed. I CANNOT find any videos on how to replace or even where it is.

    I got told the same thing, HPFP. It's just so strange that this is a common issue and cant make it go away.

    I just don't like that everyone is saying this is standard. Why would FORD make a product that produces this rattling sound. I was told it's probably the high pressure fuel pump. Maybe if it got replaced it would go away. Quoted $900 for one.

    Just got it back from the Ford dealer here in town and said totally normal thing.....it's the high pressure fuel pump that is making the noise but nothing to do about it. Occurs on the 2.3.

    I just got mine back from Firestone and they said it was the "High Pressure Fuel Pump" right under the hood. Would be $900. I picked up and taking to Ford dealership tomorrow or 2nd opinion.

    Okay, so my 2020 Ranger XLT just started making that noise as well. Have you found out exactly what that is? I'm the 2nd owner on mine and have had it for 2 weeks.
