I considered a Tacoma when I bought the F150 but cost was much more for the Double Cab than supercab STX. I didn't sit in a Tacoma but I've heard they aren't the most comfortable and higher trim still don't have power seats or adjustable seat height. I'm 6'3" and drove a Civic for 8 years and...
I have a 2014 STX supercab with 5.0, too. Mileage is 17mpg. And squeezing it into my garage is a chore.......couldn't do it with tow ball. Parking sucks with it, too. Ranger with the 2.3 EB should get up to 25mpg highway and also low end torque for the occasional light towing duties. I'm excited.
I'm in the same boat as you. I have an F150 which is overkill for my needs. I do need a truck for towing but very light towing: an aluminum trailer with ATV, total weight 1000 lbs and a very small and light 16' pontoon, total weight 2,000 lbs. Also, the small bed is perfect for my needs: hauling...
You're right, I was going a little crazy with the F-150 Raptor prices.........I was just going off the average Auto Trader price. Building one on Ford.com can get you a nice spec'd one for 59K.
And yes, it definitely does seem the US Ranger Raptor needs something other than the same 2.3 that's...
Yes, it will definitely be a couple years before a Raptor version is released to the US.
Good observation about the single chassis and single engine. I've read that the T6 was never meant for a V6 engine. And with the Tweets about one great engine/powertrain really drives home that the Raptor...
Yes, bought a new '14 STX and it's overkill for what I need it for. Clumsy to park and supercab is small and STX trim is nothing to write home about.
Would really like a Lariat FX4 Supercrew or maybe a Raptor if the price isn't outrageous. If no Raptor, then adding a Raptor grill, running...
My guess is 38K for Lariat FX4 and 48K for Raptor. The Raptor will be more truck than a ZR2 and TRD Pro, right? The F150 Raptor is king and untouchable and nothing comes close to it. And Ranger Raptor is using a lot of the same tech, yes?
ZR2 and TRD Pro in low to mid 40s........really curious if Ford will try to be competitive with pricing against these two vehicles with the Raptor.
Using a high output 2.3 EB will keep cost somewhat attainable hopefully. To reconfigure to fit a HO 2.7 EB will surely put price above 50K. Loaded...
Very excited about the Ranger coming to the US. We had an '86 and '95 in my family while growing up. Three years ago I bought a new 2014 F150 STX supercab and it is just too massive. Most I will be towing is 2,000 lbs so the full size is overkill and a super pain to park (and the STX trim is...
