Good to hear. But my guess is that ithe AC is running all the time to keep the cab cool and the heating element has not had to come on to keep it from getting too cool. I Just hope you Are lucky enough to have a cured truck.
But I will have to say that rides like a dream and has an abundance of power. My only other wish is for the drivers seat and/or pedals adjust further to give you more leg room. And then to make crew cab in 6ft bed.
From what I remember under Va and NC lemon law you are eligible to file if you have been deprived of your vehicle for a set number of days—like 20 or so total. I don’t remember anything about three dealerships. Some people may not live within 2 hours of three different dealerships. I went to...
Yep. Ford gave me a nice settlement but the process takes bout two months. The good news is that they give you all of your payments back from the time you first reported the issue.
It locked into place closed. The tail gate would lock if doors were locked. But you could probably slide a coathanger in the gap and pull the release cable easily if you were so inclined.
Not as much as I would have liked. It seemed like most water came in gap over tailgate. I have since learned that there is a way to adjust the fit somewhat. The sides weren’t bad unless it was a solid downpour
Hopefully they correct these bugs in the Ranger. I just bought a Colorado but I’m hoping that Ford comes around with a Ranger in 2-3 years with 6ft bed and more driver side leg room. The Colorado is nice but not as comfortable and stylish as a Ranger, nor as well equipped with options. However...
They found my issue to be white lithium grease inside the housing containing the heating element of the drivers side AC. Between this issue and my satellite radio unit going out (a known issue with other Ford models) my car was in the shop for one month of the first 4. Ford bought it back under...
As I have documented in several other posts my Ranger has had issues since day 1. Ford has worked to correct this and has agreed to buy back my truck. Unfortunately they won’t buy back dealer applied add on(s). So I am hoping to sell my like-new BAK Revolver 2 Roll Up Bed Cover which cost...
After my truck spent 1 month out of the first 4 I owned it in the shop, I contacted Ford Customer Care. I did so after my service advisor told me about the Ford Buy Back program. I also had done research on Lemon Laws in my state. Under N.C. law if my car has been out of service for more than...
All—the dealership finally found the problem after taking dash apart to get at the AC system. They found white lithium grease inside the casing that holds the heating element that regulates the set temperature on the driver side. They have no idea how it got there or why the grease would be in...
That’s exactly what mine does/did. I will post exactly what they tell/show me. The parts have been delayed so it will be at least another week. ...I will be seeking at least refund if a months lease but am leaning towards being bought out.
They have had to take my dash apart. Ford engineers authorized the dealership to remove the heater coil and AC condenser. Apparently they found a large amount of grease in the heating coil that regulates the temperature on the drivers side. No one has an answer as to where the grease is from...
Yes! I had a 2016 Lariat crew cab. I miss the adjustable driver side pedals, ventilated seats, shortened drivers side legroom, remote tailgate, and sunroof. Even though my Ranger is a Lariat the comforts are not the same.
My dealership talked about that issue and believe that may be a bad deal on the heater core. I believe that’s a known issue. Kinda like a musty body odor ....
My dealership is waiting on guidance from Ford as to how (apparently) others have had this issue and what they advise to fix it before they remove dash to get at heating element. The smell has gotten worse over time and gives me headaches on longer trips. Who knows what chemicals are burning off.
