I can take the lid off. That is the easy part. Anybody ever figure out how to take the lid itself apart for recovering? I did some prying and got close but since it is my wife's I snapped it back together before breaking it. I really don't want to buy another if it is just going to do the same crap.

I want to know how also. Haven't worked up the nerve to take it apart yet since it is my wife's truck. If it were mine I would mess with it till it opened or broke. A new one isn't that expensive but probably the same crappy quality. I would rather just disassemble it and do it myself for free...

Has anyone been able to disassemble the lid? I have searched everywhere and can't find any info. I'm a diy person. I just need to open it without breaking it.
