Get rear ended one time with $10K worth of bikes on a hitch carrier and you change your tune real quick...happened to a buddy of mine years ago. It's obviously personal preference, but I'll never use a hitch carrier.

I don't own a Sherpa rack but its made in the USA so it will cost a little more than the cheaper stuff coming from China. Just depends on what type of consumer you are and who you want to support. The bed rack market is even worse for copy cats. Now the new thing are the extrusion bed racks...
