Cactus grey is nice. The green metallic color is a dark bronze with a green tint. It looks pretty dark. I watched a you tuber reviewing the new raptor and it was in the green metallic. I think it looks awesome
Thanks for sharing. Good thing you sent it back and they found it was faulty. Did your new driveshaft fix your droning sound at higher speed? I have the take off shutter and I had a droning sound that started around d 45 mph. I took it to the dealer and they ended up rebuilding the rear...
I took my truck in to dealer for shutter at take off. They replaced the center carrier bearing with a much sturdier carrier bearing. It helped a little but I definitely still have a shutter at take off. My truck was lifted 2.5 inches so they just blame that. I'll probably get a once piece driveshaft
I had no vibes on my 22 fx4 at any speed until I put a 2.5" lift on it. Now I have vibes from 0 to 20 mph. And now the driveshaft whines when I'm at over 50 mph and take my foot off the gas
Firs we need to know what kind of trucks have the issue. Is it mostly lifter trucks or half lifter half stock trucks. It seems to be some of both Sean from TW said he’s done approximately 30 driveshafts what kind of trucks did these go on where they all lifted? We’re some stock? This could be...
Interesting read. Sounds like Ford goes back and forth between one piece and two piece driveshaft. The vibration problem has effected tacoma's for a long time which also has a two piece driveshaft. I was reading a tacoma forum and a lot of people go to a one piece drive shaft and some lucky...
I think it's BS. The man from Tom Woods driveshaft chimes in going in to detail explaining and Phil can"t prove him wrong. It leaves me wondering. Who's right or wrong. They can't both be right. And they can't both be wrong. I'll try to get all the angles on my driveshaft correct first. Which...
Thanks for the reply and info. I haven't heard about the yoke slip lube. I found a couple threads about the shutter. Some people have it on a stock truck no lift. If there's shutter at take off its most likely the driveshaft alignment. Some people have shutter at higher speed like 20 to 40 or 50...
So you must not have any shutter going on. I went with a 2.5" lift. It was enough to cause shutter at take off. I'm just looking around the forum to see how common it is. And how people deal with it.
