I see 2 different part #'s in this thread? The truck is a 22 XLT 302a non FX4. On Fordparts, both have the same picture and description and both have a warning that the part does not fit the truck (but I am guessing this is not the case.) Which of these two am I supposed to order?

That looks real slick! I thought there were 2 holes to drill? That is what the template that comes with the unit seems to indicate. 10MM for the switch and a smaller hole just above it?

The shifter trim piece has to come out of the truck. I want to do the trimming of the support ribs underneath and drilling of the holes on a bench. I will be doing the TM mod as well. I literally just watched the YouTube vid on that! :)

Thanks. I thought I read in another thread that the trim where the 12Vs are as well as one other piece of trim had to come off before the console trim would actually come out. I need to take it fully out so that I can trim the underside and drill the holes.

Cool, thanks. My thought is that if you just have to tap into that ye/gr wire, there is no need to run all the way to the 3rd brake light. That will save a ton of time - and, I will already be right there splicing the other 4 wires.

@Tom_C If I am reading this correctly, once I locate the ye/gr wire from the BCM chmsl connector, I have no need to run to the third brake light? That would be a game changer in install time!
