I just crawled under, masked everything and sprayed it. I wasn't trying for "show" quality. Just wanted to help the exhaust tip look like it belonged/matched.
Installed my cover today. Pretty easy to do solo but I have found a reason now to purchase some spring clips. Would have been a great help to hold the rails while I was putting the clamps on. Had to do a little adjusting to get the rails at the right height to get a good seal on the tailgate...
This is the one I bought from "Connecticut Joe". It does not require shaving of any part to make it fit. Joe was able to produce one that matched the OEM grill specs. Took me 30 minutes to switch them. Would have only taken 20 if I had remembered that there were clips on the sides of the OEM.
I got the Raptor grill from CT Joe but I still don't have my truck. Thought it was going to be in this week but it appears that its still sitting in Bremerhaven. :curse:
Mine will be US spec when it finally arrives and I am guessing OP's is as well. He says he went to the port to get it and since our vehicles come through Bremerhaven....
