  1. Lighting Control knob shifting

not from what you describe, but I do constantly hit my left knee on it as I get into the vehicle flipping it to on.
  2. chirp sound coming from the engine

There was another post about wooshing, or something like that as I noticed that. That person said their tech found that to be the issue after like 3 hours. So when I took mine in (after test driving some others to make sure the noise wasn't in fact normal) I told them about that post, they...
  3. chirp sound coming from the engine

Mine actually developed this chirp over the past couple days. ~1200 miles on vehicle. It goes in tomorrow for a replacement part in the turbo (missing o-ring, not able to order just the o-ring apparently), so I will have them check this too. If it was consistent I'd not be curious, but since it...
  4. TSB: SSM 47844 - 2019 Ranger - SYNC 3 - SYNC Wi-Fi Message - Network Connection Needed

yep, it's the hexidecimal representation of /24. 0xffffff00 I will say its not 'wrong'... just not normally the manner its shown to users. :)
  5. TSB: SSM 47844 - 2019 Ranger - SYNC 3 - SYNC Wi-Fi Message - Network Connection Needed

yep got this fun one too. The portal does finally show me that an update is available so i'll roll the usb version. I find it amusing though that the wireless connection info displays the subnet mask as hexidecimal instead of dotted decimal. <shakes fist>
  6. 355 Miles and a Check Engine Light... Argh!

Sorry the TSB didn't fix it for you, up next should be the full injector replacement. Assuming the CEL is for the same code and not something new. I didn't have the TSB but did have my #2 injector replaced. I haven't had a repeat of the CEL since and I've put around 500 additional miles on the...
  7. 355 Miles and a Check Engine Light... Argh!

dang, hope you get it back soon. I wound up going up and test driving other rangers, and found out the noise I'm hearing on hard acceleration is not present in other trucks. So it gets to go back into the shop Thursday to be checked. They didn't see anything visually wrong, but will go over...
  8. 355 Miles and a Check Engine Light... Argh!

I've put a hundred miles on the truck so far since I've gotten it back from repair, not much in reality. But its back in my daily commute. So far no issues.... still holding my breath. :) Hope the parts come in soon for you guys.
  9. 355 Miles and a Check Engine Light... Argh!

Found some, seems close enough. (Not the rumbling part, but the wooshing. And for me it's from the drivers left side.) Thanks!
  10. 355 Miles and a Check Engine Light... Argh!

appreciate the sanity checks. I track those differences, but normally chalk it up to pass-the-message breakdown as the tech isn't normally who I directly talk to. No problems with the service staff though, they've been great through the process and seemed genuinely gut punched along with myself...
  11. 355 Miles and a Check Engine Light... Argh!

I didn't see anything off hand, but phrasing matters. I'll poke around. There is the normal "big arse fan" noise when I first start moving, but flooring it there is an exterior noise in addition to an interior sucking noise. I'm sure your right and it's fine, but again, paranoid. :)
  12. 355 Miles and a Check Engine Light... Argh!

Totally relate to not remembering what it drove like. I'm basically relearning the vehicle now and trying to parse over-sensitive-paranoia from what might genuinely be different. But a test drive of another should answer my overall question on that noise. Maybe it's fine, maybe it's just the...
  13. 355 Miles and a Check Engine Light... Argh!

Just got it back and gave it a go. Seems to be doing fine. There is a noise it makes when I floor it, sounds like in the cabin it's sucking in air. Don't remember it doing that so I'll probably go up there Monday and test drive another to be sure. (Considering I had the thing for a week before...
  14. 355 Miles and a Check Engine Light... Argh!

I'm not back in town yet but I've been tracking what they've done. (And the mileage they put on doing some test driving.) Monday they replaced the parts for the #4 injector. (Which also caused numerous erroneous alerts in the app about overtemps and such as they...
  15. 355 Miles and a Check Engine Light... Argh!

I live in a town that has a magellan pipeline refined product center... aka a fuel distribution center. MP brings the crude and refined products up from the gulf coast refineries. I normally fill up at shell or kum & go, which sources from this center and is the latest construction tanks in our...
  16. 355 Miles and a Check Engine Light... Argh!

So they had to correct what they told me. Ford didn't ask them to do the ECM first, they asked them to do the injector (#4) first. Today I spoke to them and found out the part(s) they need are on back-order. But, they are actively searching neighboring dealers to see if anyone has one. At this...
  17. 355 Miles and a Check Engine Light... Argh!

well good luck to you :) I'm still 'patiently' waiting the part to be installed. They said they expect it tomorrow, but we'll see.
  18. 355 Miles and a Check Engine Light... Argh!

hope it holds... If like mine, it won't take long for it to pop back up. >200 miles within 3 days. Good luck to you!
  19. 355 Miles and a Check Engine Light... Argh!

In case it helps you as you progress into yours. I got a call back today from my local dealer that is servicing the vehicle. After working with Ford (corp) they said that it was either the Engine Control Module or the #4 fuel injector. Ford (corp) wants the local dealer to start with replacing...
