I did end up dipping my rims matte black as well. I didnt take any pictures/videos of the process but it was a lot of effort but came out great. I found it impossible to do with the rims on the truck so I took them off to do this and found the best way to block off the tired was to creat a ring...
I haven't tried but have had the same idea. Still deciding if I am going to plastidip the whole body or not. If i decide not to then I am probably going to try the clear on the front few inches of the hood to act as a protective screen...
I left them on, mainly because the electrical connection would just not release (sure I was doing it wrong) but I did undo the screws that hold it in place so I could tape off properly. They came out fine.
I similarly have always liked Borla exhausts and this one has not let me down. Having driven around a lot with it for two weeks now I continue to love the sound more and more and people def notice it. A few 150/250 guys and even one Chevy salesman at a gas station said they were impressed how...
Yup this is the cat back system, I think Borla is only making cat backs for the Ranger, only difference is single or dual exit. Nothing else mechanically done on the truck so the sound I am getting is the same anyone else should get.
Thanks @Indy650! I was more going for Univ. of TN orange but the orange plasti dip options are limited so it’s def a bit darker, more along lines of Harley orange for sure.
As others have replied the weight of 4/5 coats of plasti dip is next to nothing. Figure the at most addition of the weight of a can of spray paint to each rim. The addition of a bed cover and/or bed liner would far exceed the added weight of plast dip on the 4 rims.
How is this not traceable when ford services the vehicle even if removed before bringing in? Would the ECU still show some type of indication? Not suggesting your wrong just really curious and if really untraceable I may be will you give it a go.
Sorry for delayed response guys, I ordered mine from CarID (https://www.carid.com/2019-ford-ranger-exhaust-systems/borla-s-type-exhaust-systems-2037208806.html). My past experiences have always been very positive, their customer service is great and they had the dual black exhaust in stock and...
All good man, everyone likes there own thing but thanks for acknowledging the work to do it.
Have no problem with people knowing when I put the info out there but when someone is looking at pictures and trying to place where it is that just seems different to me. If your ever in the Bay Area...
Same could be said for posting negative comments on a forum that no one forced you to read or look at.
If you don’t consider blacking out to be a worthy use of time why click on a topic that clearly specified exactly what it was and waste your obviously precious time reading, looking at pics...
None, I mean if you get on it to speed up (or put in neutral when going through a tunnel ) but just cruising at highway speed neither myself or wife could hear any drone.
Haha if a washer and dryer and ryobi/craftsman tools are “a lot of nice things” than your garage must be a very sad place... would imagine many on here have garages with much nicer things.
Got the Borla Dual Side Exit performance exhaust installed on my XLT last night. After and initial drive around town and highway I will say this exhaust is exactly what I wanted. Loud and surprisingly throaty when you get on the gas but no drone when cruising.
The black tips look great and...
Agreed either of those would def work but audio guy didn’t think stuffing was needed and like I said the bass this thing puts out for how small the cab is (even the “super crew”) is amazing.
Thanks Danger! I am a huge fan of this stuff and I get it that its not as rugged as other options or as “clean” as a painted option but for a DIY route that allows you to change the look of your truck without spending $$$ its fantastic and way more durable than expected if you apply it the...
