I towed an Rpod travel trailer (~3600 lbs) as well as a fairly full bed (genny, propane, inflatable canoe) this summer on my FX4 and experienced very few issues other than some slight sway that may be from wiggle room in the hitch. I don't have anything to compare it to as it's my first setup...
