I noticed the same thing where the mirror is noticeably left of center. Honestly I'd read over a couple of install threads here and decided I would just use the rubber straps to hold the Wolfbox to the OEM mirror and see how much that arrangement bugged me before going down the rabbit hole of...
I got mine installed today and I figured I would go ahead and write it up incase it helps you at all. I started by unboxing everything and bench testing it on the tail gate to make sure everything worked before begining the install. Yup all the cameras work and so did the mirror.
I then begin...
I just ordered up the tripro bumper version and plan on installing it next weekend.
FWIW in my case I've been looking to have a review camera on the mirror mount for some time because with the topper on the truck the rear view mirror is totally useless. I was looking at either just getting the...
This sounds a lot like the pro power onboard setup the hybrid F150 has. That's one of the few things I would actually consider paying a new truck price for. I'm not sure it's for everyone and I'm sure the hybrid is not as reliable a drive train but for our application it would be great.
I just installed 5100s on the back of my truck and I think they're a significant improvement over stock both on road and off. A little more about my situation.
My truck is a FX4 and I only replaced the back shocks.
I have a fiberglass topper, I suspect this adds about 200lbs.
I keep a fair...
I also have a topper. Mine has a light inside, anyone know an easy way to make the topper light come on with the cargo light?
Sorry if this has already been answered, there were a lot of squid comment to read through.
There are a couple of threads here and of course a ton of information out there, especially with regard to using a high lift jack and rock sliders (if it'll support weight of your truck on a rock you should be able to lift a vehicle by it). I think the stuff in the manual is mostly about balance...
Certainly one of the interesting things we are seeing with the various unibody trucks is just how high their payload ratings are. I have to think this is largely due to how much lighter they are because the body has become a stressed member.
Having a chassis certainly has advantages in that...
I'm not entirely sure how the Ford version works but I know other manufacturers use the ABS system on the rear wheels of the tow vehicle to control sway. I think the one in the Ranger works only in case of emergency rather than continuously.
Yeah, I was wondering that same thing. Is the application here 1000W while driving down the road, say to charger a power station, or is the OP planning on running power tools while idling?
I used torque pro in a recent trip to monitor LTFT and STFT specifically because of this thread. They sat between +5 and -5 and were typically opposite each other so they combined ~0. I can probably capture a log tomorrow and post that if it helps you.
I suppose that could be the case but not what is thinking. I had in mind that the spark plugs were fine but you've been running rich for some other reason which has caused them to foul which has further decreased your fuel efficiency.
Lots of people have chimed in here I guess one more isn't going to make this any worse. Your MPG is low but I suspect it's not so bad that the dealer is going to really do too much without more information. I suspect there is a vacuum leak and this could be confirmed by looking at the fuel trim...
I have what may be an unpopular opinion but I think vehicles are best thought of as either transportation (something for taking you, passengers, and/or your stuff from one place to another) or as a hobby (something you show off, have just to have, or for something like offroading).
If you're...
I've had similar experiences with my ranger towing our travel trailer which is a out 4500 lbs fully loaded. I even just got back from doing Wolf Creek pass both ways. I've towed it once with an F-150 and while I got the same mileage (11-12 mpg) the bigger tank was awesome. If I towed more...
