So, it is shifting very smooth. A very faint noise going from 3-4, but I feel like it fades with each shift. No noise shifting to reverse. Hopefully that’s it and now with regular fluid changes (I’m just finally starting to be responsible with my belongings at 29) It’ll be the reliable vehicle...

Unfortunately no time to drain overnight, I already took the day off today to do this. I am changing the trans filter as well. You are absolutely right about the dipstick being on tight, I had to go through the passenger wheel well to get enough oomph on the wrench to break it loose! Transfer...

So, I’ve drained the trans. It’s a bit shimmery with your expected small pieces of metal. The oil that drained out measured 5.5quarts. Is this how much I should put back in? Or is this slightly under filled?

I bought a quart of that before I even ordered the trans fluid haha. Fingers crossed, halfway through draining right now. Mental health break

Haha, that does not include engine oil. Engine oil changed every 8000kms

Just started today in my 2021 XLT. 165,000kms, no fluid changes (I know, I know). Going to change rear diff fluid and trans fluid tomorrow. Anyone else experience this?

I drive Oshawa to Toronto everyday and see maybe 1 or 2 a week. And none seem to care about seeing another Ranger. I get all excited and wave and they look at me like I’m crazy haha
