  1. Front bumper paint work on brand new truck

Funny, my Cactus Gray Tremor looks identical to yours, with the edge and black coloration. I had the hood and fenders ppf'd and when I picked it up, I honestly thought they had done the bumper as well, I was so confused.
  2. Sport to Park @ 45mph, why on earth is there no lockout?!

Nevermind, I see the 18+ headlights. Ecoboost HPE?
  3. Sport to Park @ 45mph, why on earth is there no lockout?!

Mine is an HEP and it’s truly a special car! Love the Mach 1 though as well!!
  4. Sport to Park @ 45mph, why on earth is there no lockout?!

I’ve owned dozens of fords. I also currently own a Shelby GT350. All have been manual so I’m not familiar with the A10. I can say though that the sport mode does have a significant impact on the driving feel of the Ranger. Shift points and throttle are much more responsive and yes, any time the...
  5. Sport to Park @ 45mph, why on earth is there no lockout?!

Because it’s 2021 and if the car is in motion, it shouldn’t allow the shifter to move into reverse or park while moving. A manual transmission has a reverse lockout for this exact reason.
  6. Sport to Park @ 45mph, why on earth is there no lockout?!

Once again, this was not an issue of force, after reading the very first replies here it was evident the problem was that I was pulling the trigger which removed the lockout. I wasn’t jamming the thing into gear. It take surprisingly little force to upshift this thing. Other autos I’ve driven...
  7. Sport to Park @ 45mph, why on earth is there no lockout?!

That was actually part of the reason I was moving between sport and normal. During break in I’ve always driven a manual and varying RPMs is necessary. These things will run at 1500 RPM all day so I would switch to sport to raise the RPMs just slightly higher, drive a few miles and then lower...
  8. Sport to Park @ 45mph, why on earth is there no lockout?!

Yup, glad to have had some solid replies in here. Now I know exactly how each function works. Certainly more hood info here than the manual!??????
  9. Sport to Park @ 45mph, why on earth is there no lockout?!

Thanks for the standard issue internet reply. Very helpful.
  10. Sport to Park @ 45mph, why on earth is there no lockout?!

I hope so cause it sure sounded awful, metallic ratcheting sound of the parking pawl trying to engage.
  11. Sport to Park @ 45mph, why on earth is there no lockout?!

With that trigger depressed, you’d be shocked how little effort it took. I’m very very easy on my vehicles. It happened so quickly I didn’t even know what had happened for a moment. The way each of the selections have a sort of peak and valley, they almost pull the lever along. The crazy part...
  12. Sport to Park @ 45mph, why on earth is there no lockout?!

I’ve only had the truck for a few days so I hadn’t noticed that yet weird that there is no mention of that in the manual at all. I suppose it’s easier to learn by simply putting the car in reverse or park while driving, posting on a forum and waiting for everyone who already knew to let you know...
  13. Sport to Park @ 45mph, why on earth is there no lockout?!

I had been in S and once at speed didn’t need it to rev high etc and longer. I didn’t slam it or even apply much force at all. I baby the hell out of my cars when they’re brand new. What I didn’t know was that it didn’t require the trigger to be pulled to move from S to N, which is apparently...
  14. Sport to Park @ 45mph, why on earth is there no lockout?!

Yup, I pulled the trigger each time, assuming that was required for any shift up or down. The manual makes no mention of this at all that I saw. Sure wish I’d known that before potentially damaging my transmission!
  15. Sport to Park @ 45mph, why on earth is there no lockout?!

It shouldn’t allow the shifter to move past neutral, right?
  16. Sport to Park @ 45mph, why on earth is there no lockout?!

So last week, I went to shift up from sport to normal as I was done having fun and wanted to cruise. Like butter, the shifter went right past normal into neutral, causing me to rev very high. quite the scare. Well, today the same thing happened, only it slipped directly into park, locking the...
  17. Ppf on front bumper?

I bought a new Ranger XLT with the black package last week. Had ppf installed on the hood, fenders and headlights and was planning to do the upper and lowe front bumpers soon. While checking out the job my shop did on the hood and fenders I noticed what looks like the edge line of a clear...
