Ford pass operates on cellular network.
As I understand Fordpass, sync and the entire system - also works over wifi - back and forth over the internets to Ford using some amazon services.
Connect phone and car to same wifi network (eg home wifi), enable location on phone, configure it as per...
Just asking - Vehicle is locked, in park, with handbrake on? Location on phone turned on? And for initial setup eg at home - vehicle has access to same (wifi) network as the phone?
Would certainly fall under defective material/worksmanship/poor design. You can clearly show that the seat belt rubs on that location and that the rest of the seat is not worn due to you sitting in it.
Ford pass turned on, collect gps data, all trip data, some geofenced, can see faults raised eg roller shutter failures pretty much all of your usage. Connected to house wifi. Let them have the data as long as I also get something out of it….
Emailed reports on distance, trip odometer start end...
The entire can bus is not available from the front connector. Can only access some modules. The smart datalink is essentially a gateway for other modules. Splitter cable to access rest of modules on buses not on main plug.
Some engineer (most likely) or line worker left it there by mistake.
