Great write up. I followed your instructions and did not have a single problem. It went exactly as you described. I'm 60's and 70,'s old school and am not used to individual coils but your directions made it an easy job. Thank you.
Not stardard here. My old Silverado had a block heater but the Ranger doesn't. I live in upstate New York and the winters are really cold, sub zero cold. But so far I haven't had an issue with my 2019 starting and warming up. It's been a great truck for me to this point. I start it with the App...
I live just outside of Utica so a quick trip across to PA wouldn't be easy. LOL I live in an area that has two suppliers of fuel so they charge whatever they want. We are at least 20 cents a gallon higher than any area around us. Plus the NY taxes, but you know what i'm talking about, I'm sure...
I live in New York State so my Ranger is getting a full tank of overpriced gas. LOL Seriously, my boy got new sneakers last week and its very happy with them. :like:
I guess I should consider myself lucky. I bought my Ranger at Romeo Ford, Kingston, NY even though I live almost 3 hours away. They treated me great even though they knew I would not be able to go there for service. When i bought it, no one in my area had one. My local dealer (Steet Ponte Ford)...
Honestly Dave, I love mine and agree with you. I'd be afraid also. Previous to getting the ranger, I always had Chevy Silverado's, 6 to be exact as I traded in every three to four years. but the last one, I had to replace the lifters on each side and I used to change the oil on it every 3 to 4...
I guess I got lucky. My 2019 XLT, aside from a heater box replacement under warranty, has run flawlessly for me. I've got 53,000 miles, change the oil every 5,000 miles and also got lucky with a real good dealer, Steet Ponte Ford in New York Mills, NY. A good service department so far. I run the...
T Bone,
Thanks TBone. And I love Lake George. One of my favorite places to go in NY. We go there a couple times every summer. There and Saratoga. Love that area.
MXGOLF, I just added a pic of my truck. Nothing special done to it. The only thing I added was the Terrain Switch, Air Deflector, some real good seat covers and floor mats. Nothing special.........yet.
Jesse,
I spent 4 years in the Army in the early 70's. And yes its pretty cold. Not as bad of a winter yet but I'm sure it's coming. We didn't get what Buffalo and Watertown got thank god.
Duke,
I live in a little town outside of Utica. And as far as the potholes go, there is never any end of them with the winters we get. I always thought of it as job security. LOLOL
Just wanted to say thanks for letting in this group. I was accepted in a while ago but first time posting as life sometimes gets in the way of pleasure. So thanks again for letting me join in on the great information on this forum. I have a 2019 Ranger XLT that I bought in 2020 and now have...
I've got 53,000 miles on my 2019 and the only problem to date was replacing my heater box. Blend door dies and the dealer replaced the entire box on the extended warranty. It took 2 days from dropping it off to picking it up fixed. I have no complaints and love this truck. And I come from owning...
