  3. Dumb question time...concerning offsets.

OK sorry to off topic ... looks like the Raptor rims are 17x8.5 +55 https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-1007-RGR1785OR I was sure I'd read and heard the Tremor had new offsets, reinforced by the doc I linked above including the listing of 44mm EDIT 24mm wider track specs (on the Tremor...
  4. Dumb question time...concerning offsets.

Well that would make a lot more sense than a new single purpose wheel for NA. Got the spec from here (pg 13. option 64W). It wouldn't be the first error in these type of documents. This one lists a Tremor 4x2 ! Thx...
  5. Dumb question time...concerning offsets.

The wheels Ford is putting on the Tremor package is the raptor wheels and they have the same offset. If anything they are wider wheels. I believe 17X8.5 or 17X9. Still a +55 offset. With that said the only difference is the wheel sticks out ever so slightly and sticks in a little bit as well.
  6. Dumb question time...concerning offsets.

I know what you mean, I have to draw it out with pencil and paper to visualize it. If those Fuel rims are the 17x9 and you look at the +1 offset version. That rim centreline will be 2.63" further out than the oem 17x8 ((oem 55 - 1mm) + (1" rim difference / 2)). The -12 version will be even...

  8. Offset and Backspace | How do they relate?

...backspacing. Subtract the converted offset to the wheels center line if the offset is negative for the correct backspacing. For Example: 17x9 +12mm offset *9" rim width + 1" = 10" *10"/2 = 5" (wheels center line) *+12mm offset/25.4 = 0.47" (0.50" rounded up) *0.50" + 5" = 5.50" Backspace...

  13. Trying to see if I went too big

Ordered wheels and tires, got the mamba m27 17x9 with a -12 offset . Tired are a 275/70 r17, I have a 2.5” level kit but just trying to see if anyone cut their intrusion beams, I know this is a common topic and I don’t care if I have to cut the beams off or not.
  14. 265/70/17 on 17x9?

Shouldn’t be a problem, TireRack says 9” is the maximum. TireRack is very conservative when it comes to fitment.
  15. 265/70/17 on 17x9?

I see on several mfg websites that 8.5 wide wheel is max for 265/70/17 but I see most aftermarket 17 inch wheels are 17x9? Thoughts?

  19. 01 offset question

With that size tire you might be ok but I'm thinking you'll need to remove the rear crash and blocks behind the wheel liner, then pin back the wheel liner with the bolts you removed from the plastic block. Same wheels specs, 285/70 on mine. Front and rear crash bars removed and plastic blocks...
