It's been a decade for me also and that's is kind of what it sounds like. But you cant mess up the connections that are included with the package. One small negative and one bigger positive with a plug on the other end.

I just installed this today and it sounds.. terrible. The high and mid sounds are okay, but the low/bass does not have much to it, compared to the factory speakers. What did I do wrong or is there something else I should be doing? Do the mounting brackets have anything to do with it?
