'20 Ranger 4 X 4 Lariat purchased used but in excellent condition. No problems whatsoever up until now, at 112,000 miles. I'm out of warranty
so I'd rather see if anyone else has this same issue before I maybe have a prof'l diagnosis done... Right side radar seems to be out, mirror lane...
I put 97K miles on stocks, very little off-road, so they weren't too horrible. But WHAT a DIFFERENCE Bilstein 5100's made!! Yes, like a few above did the rears myself had a suspension specialist in Modesto install the fronts and align. Went with about an inch higher ride height in front. So...
Apparently the "boot" and bolts. The estimate invoice doesn't line all the individual parts out. It just seems so wrong to allow the center driveshaft bearing to be covered, but not the other parts. I even tried to get a partial warranty reimbursement and was denied because I didn't qualify...
My issue w/ my 2020 Ranger Lariat 4X4 w/ 98K miles was a cold clank going into reverse and then a clanking (clunking?) only when cold going over some bumps up my driveway. Local dealer says it's my center bearing and boot causing excessive movement. Looking at $862 for the repair. I bought...
Thanks! Seems to only have that clanking going into reverse and the rattle only when cold. Not just ambient temp’ but when car is not warmed up. Both go away when fully warmed up.
My ‘20 Lariat 4X4 w/ 98K miles is going in for slow engagement into reverse when cold and a clanking when cold. I had an oil changer place tech’ shake anything that could cause clanking, like a loose exhaust or possible bash plate, but found nothing. So I tend to think it has to do with that...
Thanks, guys! Bilstien 5100’s it will be. I’m pretty mechanical, don’t have a spring compressor though, think I can D.I.Y. the fronts..? I know the rears are easy…
Big O has a calculator in their system that gives you exact o.d. and with height / width stat's, compared to stock set up, even speedo error. These were less than 1% off on speedo error.
Hey All: 20' Ranger Lariat 4 X 4 w/ 92K miles on here. Totally trouble free so far, btw. But shocks are getting a little "bouncy" by now, although not objectionable, amazingly enough. But the miles are mostly highway, pretty little off-road so far. I do want to put some good shocks on for...
So I had the local Big O do some research for me as to having a separate set of off-road / snow wheels / tires on 16" rims with a higher profile, but essentially the same outside dia' as the stock 18 inch'ers for some much more aggressive off-road rubber. They came up with the following...
THANK YOU; Canadian Ranger, BLMPKN, Colo_Ranger, Frenchy and BettaRanga for your comments! Pretty helpful! Still researching. Thinking 16" wheels with taller - not wider - A/T tires... Hear 16" is smallest wheels that can be used that won't interfere with calipers.
Blmpkn: Thanks! I do have BFG Trail Terrains on now on stock rims. Not as aggressive as A/T's but 3 snow flake rated. All Terrains (doesn't matter the brand) are what I'm looking for but fatter, for more low-pressure off road work with more sidewall. Running these lower profile stock size...
There's SO much info on Off-Road Tire / Wheel Combo's it's hard to find the right stuff... Hard to decifer some of the info out there.... ALL I WANT TO DO is have a set of cost-effective (not too cheap) steel wheels in a smaller rim size (for more side-wall) but the same exact outside diameter...
Of course, after your reminder and after the fact, I remembered that that button was there. Jeez! For a bit, I thought perhaps a ding I heard from a rock on the windshield might have been the cause, but looking at the radar lens area, nothing ...
My 2020 Ranger 4X4 Lariat w/ 78K miles, the Lane Assist in Active Cruise Control mode stopped functioning.
I'm bringing it in to Sonora Ford today for an In Warranty diagnosis - bought the 5 year B to B Warranty - but wondering if anyone has
had this problem, and if it's a chronic one or...
Got my Goodrich Trail Terrains (stock size 265/60-18) mounted today. Local tire dealer competing with I/Net pricing was quite competitive at $954.00 Mounted and balanced. Doherty Tire in Sonora, CA.
Thanks, guys! I ended up w/ B F Goodrich Trail Terrains in exact stock sizes, 265/60-18's. 60K mile warranty, decent off-road performance and 3 snowflake rated, is mostly what I was looking for. Live near snow skiing, so snow rated was important. Goodrich's, I've been told last a good long...
