Since my Lariat is a 2nd and Super Cab, the mods have only been the bed tie down chain, and my own half seat delete.
On the other had,the huge number of features that these modern beasts have was very enlightening.
I never knew:
How the ASS works, (it saved my truck just this week, speeding...
It doesn’t seem to have air trapped in the system, it’s more of a case of the ABS module not having enough internal pressure and this just primes the pump so it builds up more internal pressure therefore causing a firmer pedal. It would be kind of like the pump style BB guns, if you pump it 1-2...
I hear ya. I got used to the soft pedal before, but it never inspired confidence. I still have plenty of ability to modulate after doing the above Forscan service.
In the video, Trevor explained that the ABS priming process is to be done any time brake work is performed. In his other...
What I can't figure out if this is bc air is still in the ABS modules from factory, by not actually opening hydraulics on the bleed procedure, wouldn't it just push the air into the lines and create additional pressures in the lines? There has to be a mechanical explanation why this seemingly...
How will air in the lines make me dumber? I just put down my almost $40k and bought a truck expecting it to be good to go. I find on this forum that a lot of Rangers have the same problem as I have, low softbrake pedals. Ford needs to be proactive and get it fixed. How did air get in the system...
Just a couple of fixes needed . First the sometimes softbrake pedal and second the bouncy ride on my 2wd saber baby . Every thing else I love about the Ranger because no other brand can better this truck .
Last truck I had was a 2006 F150 and had it until 2013. At that time I moved full time to the mountains and was no longer hauling stuff back and forth to the cabin. It made sense to get something with better than 12-16 mpg.
Really missed sitting up high to see around traffic and found myself...
It probably depends upon what you've been driving. I drive a 15 Explorer Sport, 15 Tacoma TRD Off Road and an 18 Miata Club RF with Brembos. All of those vehicles have pretty decent brakes, at least from a feel standpoint. So when I got in the Ranger and touched the brakes for the first time...
