  1. how to turn off rear seat alarm,

Thanks! I knew I could count on you folks! ?
  2. how to turn off rear seat alarm,

This may be in the manual, but I thought I’d ask here first. This warning is really getting on my nerves. I’m 72, my youngest child is 40, my youngest grandchild is 5 and never stops talking, so forgetting him in the back seat would be impossible. Is there an easy fix, a work around through...
  3. What did you let go to get your Ranger?

    2017 F150 XLT Sport Scab 4x4.
  4. What did you do to your Ranger today?

My Butt Dyno has been on the fritz since riding in my wife's RAV4, horrible seats. It's starting to heal since she got the Escape though, lol! Sent you a DM.
  5. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Well, mainly it looks like I just added something Ford forgot, but I heard it was around 40 hp. :like: I believe they are still doing dyno testing on the sticker though, so I'm holding off on that.
  6. What did you do to your Ranger today?

Put on the engine cover. I know, you guys warned me about this mod thing, but I think this one may save me money in the long run if it keeps the water and other crap out of #4 plug. This is all I'm buying, really!:headbang: Maybe I better stop hanging out here. Some of you are a bad influence.
  7. Are running boards on a Ranger like lipstick on a pig?

I’m adjusting to them as well. You all have pointed out more positives than I thought of at first. That’s why I started the thread. Also, I definitely don’t equate my truck with a pig, but judging from all the responses, the title worked as I’d hoped ?
  8. Are running boards on a Ranger like lipstick on a pig?

I'm learning to deal with them. As someone mentioned, they should save on the seat edge, so I'm stepping up and sitting down onto the seat. Feels awkward for now, but I'm getting there. Getting out, if I swing over and put my right foot on the running board, I can kind of scoot out without...
  9. I joined the Ranger owners club again today!

Thanks! Hard to believe she's tolerated me that long!
  10. I joined the Ranger owners club again today!

Well, crap! That didn't take long. I'm one of the lucky Lariat owners who didn't get the engine cover, but I have one on order now. Don't tell the boss. :frown:
  11. Are running boards on a Ranger like lipstick on a pig?

Mine too, especially the ones that stick out past the body of the truck. I never figured out why one would want to sling mud all over the side of the truck.
  12. Are running boards on a Ranger like lipstick on a pig?

Hmm, I hadn't really thought about that concept. Since I have the topper, I may have to leave them on just for that usage. Glad I made this post. It's kind of making me lean toward just adjusting to the running boards as they are. I guess I'm not to old to adjust.
  13. Are running boards on a Ranger like lipstick on a pig?

I suppose it's just a matter of time before that's me too. If I take them off, I certainly won't be throwing them away! At present it's just one artificial knee, arthritis in both feet, shoulders and the other knee. Crap! I guess that's already me! Maybe I'll just have to get used to them. ?
  14. Are running boards on a Ranger like lipstick on a pig?

Unfortunately, my wife and I are in our 70s, so we qualify as elderly passengers even without guests aboard, lol!
  15. Are running boards on a Ranger like lipstick on a pig?

Yeah, but I'm not sure how much they actually do to protect the paint. I've got mud flaps all around, which probably do the lion's share of the paint protection. Maybe I need to drive through some mud, take them off, and try the mud a second time to see if they indeed offer some protection. Or I...
  16. Are running boards on a Ranger like lipstick on a pig?

My recently acquired 2022 Lariat has running boards, which I was at first ambivalent about. Now I'm starting to think they are more of a PITA than they are worth. First, I don't need them to get into the truck, unlike my F150 that was enough taller to make it necessary. Second, when I try to get...
  17. I joined the Ranger owners club again today!

Well, I have learned that no matter how fast I go in the right lane, some idiots are going to pass me in the left lane anyway, so I drive my speed and let them have the left lane. I could be going 120 and some dipstick would try to pass me anyway, so I might as well save a few $$$$.
  18. I joined the Ranger owners club again today!

I’m pretty much a speed limit driver. My wife would rather have better mpg/cheaper travels than outrun the competition, so we get along pretty well that way. In other words, I do other things that irritate her more. After 52 years, she’s kind of starting to get used to me I think ?
  19. I joined the Ranger owners club again today!

I may have exaggerated a bit on the whatever I want part. ?
  20. I joined the Ranger owners club again today!

Oh, I can do anything I want without her permission...as long as it's free. ?
