I did get the O rings in, but might be worth checking it again. It is a fairly audible whistle. I have SCT tuner. I'm not sure if I can check the boost with that or not, but I'll investigate. Thanks for your input.
So, I have had mine in for quite a while. One thing I noticed is that when the turbo kicks in, I get a high pitched whistling or humming sound. I'm wondering if this is normal, or if that means I have a leak. It has done it from the start. Hope I don't have a leak. I also installed the plum back...
I got it done. It takes some patience. I did it over a weekend. One thing I didn't do that would have probably made it easier, is remove one of the head light assemblies. But not doing that, it would not go in without some slight trimming of some plastic at the bottom of the headlight assembly...
So I installed the CV Fab intercooler this weekend (what a pain). I am now working on the charge pipes. On the hot side, I had a really hard time getting the bolt back into the block. I wouldn't line up, the pipe seemed too long. I had to loosen the intercooler bolt to let it move forward so I...
Just watched the video shown linked on the CVF site as RC Customes installs the intercooler. He mentioned a lot of trimming was involved. However, Mrmonk stated it fell right in. The guy from RC Customes said it was a real pain to get it to fit. I recently received mine and plan to install it...
LOL. I'm always hesitant when I do something new, but this seemed pretty easy, and it was except for the one bolt. I gave up a couple of times and walked away. After much bleeding and aggravation it came together.
I installed my dipstick last week. I'm probably the only tard that had a very difficult time getting the top bolt in. Its embarrassing to say, but I spent hours trying to get it into the U clip. LOL
That's great to hear. I have about 44k miles now and haven't had any trouble either. My warranty is out so I get a little nervous. I just got the Fitz stick and the PPE pan. I'm going to go ahead and change the filter and pan, and just hope for the best. I've been a Ford guy for over 25 years...
That sux, but I've had the front bumper almost off when I removed the crash bars. Plus I've got the stock bumper. I'm sure its no where near as heavy as the one you have. Thanks for sharing the details. I'm going to jump in on the intercooler soon.
This is my 2021 tremor crew with 2" level. Tires are 285/70/17. Wheels have 14mm offset. The tires are outside the fender well about 1.5 inches. I replaced the front and rear crash bars.
I asked the same thing in another thread. While there are a lot of issues, there are a lot of guys that are not having issues. My 2021 Tremor has 42k miles and has no issues. I did however purchase a fitz stick, and am going to go ahead and service my transmission now, just to be on the safe side.
That looks really nice. I watched a video that showed you have to cut a lot of plastic out of the way on the truck to fit the larger intercooler. Did you have to do that? I haven't found a good video that shows a step by step to get this done. Probably because its such a pain. I'm surprised that...
Well hell. Guess its back on my to do list. All good info. Thanks for the tip on the drain. I was leaning toward mishimoto. Not sure if it has a drain, but I'll check it out.
