So - it appears (somehow) I was able to get it secured by letting the cab heat up. Note to self: plastic doesn't flex well when cold. /facepalm Thanks @GTGallop + @JesseS for your replies. I really appreciate it.

Finally got around to installing the ram track up top, but can't seem to get the plastic tray secured (as it was when I pulled it out). All side clips remain intact and the center clips did not break either. It won't lay flush and now comes out way too easily. Am I doing something wrong here...
