I noticed today while washing my truck (I do this every weekend) that the roofline trim paint Has begun to peal and oxidize. I’m sure it will be covered by warranty but I don’t understand how this is possible for such a new truck? Is it something I could have caused?

I’m curious if anyone has side steps or bars installed & noticed if they protect your doors at all from door dings in parking lots?
