I was finally able to get it to the dealership when the code was still available. According to them there was something wrong with the fuel pump assembly. Had to take off the the fuel tank to look at it. Replaced under warranty at about 29k miles. Will post again if the light comes back on...
I don't think it had anything to do with the trail. Last week I had the light come on and get the same message while I was driving a basically flat road in town. I'm going to take it to the dealer to have them look at it but they say they're backed up for weeks, and they haven't exactly been...
That looks much worse than what I was on (FR062 in Strawberry Valley south of Duck Creek Village, UT). No pictures, but I'm glad to see another cyber orange truck. Mine is not any kind of off road model though. Maybe I should take it to the dealer for a checkup after all.
I don't normally go off road. The best I usually manage is dirt roads. However, last week I went on some forest service roads that had some interesting ruts and holes to navigate. After getting back to camp I had the check engine light come on and I panicked because I thought I must have...
I checked my FordPass app and it had a couple of messages relating to this incident. It had the message about the pre-collision assist not being available with suggestions about cleaning the sensors. I did no such thing so I think that's a red herring. It also has a message about a powertrain...
I had an odd experience while towing my camper. I was towing out of Denver on I-70W. I mention it because it's a pretty steep climb. The camper is about 4500lbs. I've tried the same trailer up the same slope a couple of times without issue and this time the water tanks were empty. Part way...
I've heard three justifications for the "don't leave your car running" laws. The first is that some people think that if the car is running then it's not "parked" so they can leave it where it would not me legal to park, like in the fire lane. Second is that usually a car left running is...
I can totally see that happening. Karens are everywhere and multiplying it seems. The Tesla Dig Mode puts a notice on the display showing the internal temperature and that the AC is running. I was thinking of making a sign saying that the AC is on and my phone number.
I used to know a guy who trained guard dogs. Those dogs scared the crap out of me. He would leave is truck running with one of the dogs in there, pretty much daring anyone to take it. I heard someone tried once. Once.
The remote start isn't the same as leaving the keys in the ignition. I'm not sure why but the dealer told me stealing a remote started car isn't just a matter of breaking the window and putting it in gear.
I wasn't able to find something about this but let me know if it's already been discussed.
My Ranger has remote start, which I didn't originally want but I'm finding useful. I was wondering if there is a way to disable the auto shut off for the auto start. My thinking is that I can leave the...
