Keep in mind it's BETA so we've been patching things as we see them come up across various models and driving conditions. As for the startup fault load up v3 firmware in the app and drop me an email if you continue to have any faults, we'll get it sorted for you. We fixed a startup fault in v3.
We've got around 30 of the Ranger JB4 systems out now and feedback has been pretty good. A few bugs have cropped up, mostly due to warehouse staff here assembling systems wrong, but that has been sorted now as well.
The JB4 is a great alternative to flashing with more features but another nice...
Once installed just record a JB4 log on map2, email it in, and we can help you get as much as you safely can out of whatever your specific fuel quality is.
All dyno runs were done on the same tank of ~93 octane fuel. The map guide posted in our thread though was copied from another tuner and pretty conservative. Since it's a new product we'll continue evaluating customer logs and udpate the mapping guide as we see more data over a wider range of...
It is a local customers truck with aftermarket rims/tires I think, phpto below. But using boost by gear you should be able to dial in launching on whatever tires you want to run! My main truck is a 2018 F150 2.7L with larger turbos that runs high 11s in the 1/4 on the factory 245/70/17 tires. :)
One nice feature of the JB4 is it's compatible with whatever flash map you want to run, even the factory performance flash. You could use it to add only boost when you're on higher octane, fine tune torque, and a variety of things. It's a pretty unique tuning tool and has a full logging suite...
Our Raptor JB4 is CARB approved but the Ranger is not yet CARB approved. With the virus mucking everything up here who knows how long it will take. It's basically the same system but you have to test every model vehicle for them.
Keep in mind the before and after times on our site were using a customers RWD truck on pump gas. We weren't about to beat the crap out of his truck to get some numbers. The gains were solid. We've had other RWD customers report 5.7s 0-60 times.
As for the transmission we don't change the shift...
Hey guys, happy to help answer any questions we can! The JB4 isn't going to be for everyone but when you consider the cost, ease of install, resale value, and it's ability to be removed without a trace (unlike flash maps), it's a very compelling option.
