I did not get any sort of battery warning lights or indication, the only thing I noticed battery related was that it occasionally wouldn't start the engine the first time I tried. Other than that I had no indication it was a battery issue.

I am no expert but I am pretty sure when you put your car in park it prevents the driveshaft from moving at all, if it failed both back wheels would spin not just one. That does not make sense.
