I only have about another 24 hours with you fine gentleman....
Sales rep called me today (now he remembers my phone number...) to tell me that the Ranger is here. They're going to do PDI this afternoon/tonight and I pick it up first thing in the morning. Friend and I were already out and about...
Decided to stop playing games with phone calls and went on down to my dealership to get some answers. Did my best to be polite, think I succeeded.
She's sitting on a railcar in Illinois waiting for a new train to continue it's journey west. I even got a delivery window of June 1st to the 7th...
Ah, they must come in on the rail line following 76 and not 70. Makes more sense than Aurora, all the rail lines there just go to individual businesses, there's no general yard on that side of 70. I may or may not have been using Google maps to trace the railways ?
I'm not holding my breath by any means. Just trying to be optimistic since my one car is still down a cylinder and inoperable.
I'm willing to cut Ford a lot of slack when it comes to production timelines and schedule slips, but this complete lack of communication and solid expectations would be...
Here's hoping both our Rangers are on that rail car. My dealer had told me they have a handful of Rangers coming in at the end of the month.
After Ford's tracker kicked back to in production, it flipped to Shipped status again last wednesday with Build Date actually filled in. I had written it...
Hmm, that differs from how my dealership told me things get handled for shipping. He told me that the dealership gets N number of vehicles allocated to them per month, and once that order block is ready (and Ford can find a railcar to send it in the general direction) they ship it out. From...
Heh, if only it was a SCAB....
Order Track shows my truck is back in "In Production". If what my dealership said was true and it was probably labeled as "shipped" since it was "shipped" to the body shop, then I guess I can at least pay attention to when it ships for real this time. Living...
Called the dealer and purposefully tried to get a different sales rep this time. Apparently someone incorrectly statused the truck as "in transit to customer" when it was actually being sent over to a body shop to have the tonneau cover installed . New guy said that once it does end up...
I'm really not expecting that 5-2 date to hold. Annoyingly I get no info from Ford, it all goes to my dealer and my rep is horrible at getting me information. Though the few dates he has given me have been pretty accurate to when things have happened.
For both our sakes let's just hope it's...
Ford Tracking jumped from "In Production" to "Shipped" over the weekend. Sounds like it actually got on a rail car out to Denver. Though Order Track doesn't have anything populated in it's shipping section. I had the fortune of an order priority of 10 from the get go.
Maybe my sales rep was on...
I think the better cut off is mid late Jan to Feb. I ordered 1/3 and I'm listed in production. Few others here with same order/blend time frame.
I did notice that the production number on my window sticker was just one of 168 built that week. Maybe I was just on the tail end ?
Finally got my VIN from the dealership... Not by sales rep, but by it showing up in their inventory  They also have it listed as a Lariat haha (window sticker correctly lists XLT)
XLT FX4 SCAB - 301A, keypad, tech, tow, and tonneau.
Order date 1/3/22
Blend date 4/8/22
Order Track...
I've seen those threads on the delays for Super Cabs. I'm not terribly worried since short of that Duratec 30 or CD4E blowing itself to bits, my Escape should hold out. I have enough faith in my backyard mechanics skill to keep her running for a while longer :)
Good to hear that FoMoCo is...
I'm curious as to how often/what events I can expect hearing something about my order status. I've seen a few people on here talk about receiving some communication from Ford within days of their order and it has me wondering: when placing an order is it normal to hear an initial confirmation or...
