I was able to fit them with the smallest lift available from 'fordrangerlifts'. They do rub on the front crash bars slightly on uneven terrain, but I should be able to loosen the bars and have enough play to get them out of the way.
I just put the Mickey Thompson Baja boss's on my 21 tremor in 275/70/17, highly recomend. I ran the grabbers, then toyo at3's, and now the baja boss and they are by far my favorite.
Context: Hey guys, I was recently digging in a forum about transmission issues. Some of the comments disappointed me.
People responded to the OP and were ridiculing him for the speeds he was driving and the activities he was participating in. In a effort to not call anyone out I will say...
2 years ago during hunting season(November in MT) I put chains on my front tires. As I did not read the manual I have some V-bar chains for all four tires. I was able to drive fine, but the chains were definitely whacking the coil on their way around the tire.
I'm considering adding a 1" spacer...
UPDATE: I cleaned off the truck and discovered some damage! The tube that the steps hang off of is bent upwards by about a 1/4" difference from the driver side. I am guessing this happened when I broke through the ice and the truck slammed down on the ice shelf... there were lots of cool metal...
I did have another truck following, and we were able to find a route around the ice to get up the road to our destination. Next time I will remember to actually have some recovery equipment in the truck.
