Knowing what I know now, im gonna press ford a little harder and let them know this is a real issue.

Same break on my 2020 ranger. On the highway for 5 mins, I get an overheat light. Serpentine belt mangled and my pulley laying on top of the brush gaurd. Originally quoted 3900 by ford, but they agreed to take it down to 1800 after some talk. The break looks very similar to yours.

This exact same thing just happened to my 2020 ranger fx4 with about 65k miles. Dealer worked with me and it's about 1800 cost for me.
