I have Cooper AT# XLT tires on my F150. I love them. They look nice and handle very well. Off road tire w/out the off road noise on the hwy. I will miss them when I trade the F150 in for my Tremor in a month.

Hi All-
After looking at everything on this forum, I’m pretty set on the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S. However, in the stock size they only come with the raised white lettering. This would be a change from the black stock Bridgestones that are on there now. Does anybody have a picture of what that looks like?
I feel like flipping the tire with the white in would still be too visible under the truck on the opposite side.

Also, is there a market for used tires (4000 miles)? Try and sell them to a local shop or Craigslist? Anybody have any luck with that?

Thanks,
Jared
[/QUOTE]Here are mine with about 17,000 miles on them. The factory Bridgestone a were the cheap ones, didn't last but 28,000 miles.
I am very happy with the Coopers and will be getting them next time as well.

Love old school...that's pretty much all of us here over 60 lol...it really looks cool when spinning...
Same here. The last several sets of tires (on previous trucks) I've had were outline white letters and I'd like to go back to solid white letters. Ranger still has the OE blackwalls but I'm thinking either BFG's, Generals, or Coopers. Local tire shop I use is big on Cooper and Mastercraft but it looks like the Cooper AT's only come in solid whites if you get the XLT which looks like I'd have to get 285/70's. I want a leveling kit and 265/70's, I'm afraid it won't fit in my garage with 285's as it's tight already and I got a Stubby antenna.

You have a smaller than usual garage? My standard 7' door fit's my leveled 285 + RTT without any problem...

Yes. House built in 1936. Garage door opening is about 6'8". OE radio antenna was getting beat to death all the way along the garage door. A leveling kit won't affect it but I'm worried about the tires. House is brick so there's no way to move anything.

I need a set of "takeoff" 18" tires. Anybody near Albuquerque, Denver, or El Paso?

Thanks for everyone’s help on this. I just wanted to follow up in case this info is useful for anybody else in the future.

I was still really torn between the black/white out in my stock size 255/65/17. This ultimately was solved with an availability issue with that size, and I went with one size larger (265/65/17) that is only offered in black.

I then listed the Bridgestones on Facebook marketplace for $160 for all 4. I had a lot of interest and sold them the next day for that price.

Now I eagerly await getting to use the tires for something other than driving to Target for Christmas shopping…

Looks good Jared. Just right on a black truck. I threw caution to the wind, and went with the white letters out on my Jeep.

I am interested in a low-mileage set of 18" Hankook take-offs.

I am located in Northern New Mexico and, for the right price, might drive as far as Denver, Flagstaff, Lubbock, or El Paso to pick them up. And I will be driving to San Jose in January 2022.
