Anyone try out the yokohama geolander at-x tires. I'm in the market for some tires before winter gets here.

I can't speak for anyone on here but i think this is the first o have heard of these tires. I myself run the Bridgestone Dueler Revo 3 and i love it. I have also seen a few run the Firestone Destination XT and they love it.

Obviously you want the offroad look but my question is how far off road do you want to go? Are you looking for the basics or planning to go a bit crazy? Also if you feel like experimenting then try the tires out. Maybe you will like them or mabe you won't.

assuming you're talking about the X-AT, they look fantastic

I would expect nothing less than awesome from Yokohama, and they sound like a fantastic all-around tire. I've had their M/T G003 at the top of my list for my next set of tires

I had the Geolander AT's on my last ranger and I never had any problems. I would buy them again.

I have goodyear dura tracs on it now. Almost 40,000 miles. I can't get them again. Company policy. No complaints at all with them.

the company I work for doesn't agree with goodyears policy. All political.
If it is on your personal truck you can tell the company to go pound sand. If it is the company truck then I guess you have to deal with it.

Those Geolandars look nice but they are heavy. I saw they only offer them in LT. 54 lbs is one of the heavier ones. If you want tough that might be the ticket. I want to get a 265/70 an keep weight to around 40 lbs per tire for economy reasons an performance.

Since you are wanting to keep around that weight I would suggest the Bridgestone Dueler Revo 3 or the Firestone Destination XT. Both are great tires for on and offroad and are close to the weight you are looking for. I myself run the Bridgestone and dont have any issues with fuel economy.
