Well, not my Ranger, but a Youtuber another member introduced here sometime back.

Windrock Off-Road Park, looks like good times but he swamps his alternator.

Ya think driving into and thru cab height muddy water at 30 mph might have had something to do with it ??? "I wonder what happened to the electronics in my engine compartment" ???
Duh ! :headbang:

I'm pretty sure his last words will be, "Hold my beer and watch this..."

While the decision to hit that mudpit that hard was questionable. I do like the solution for getting the truck home.

have to agree, at first I thought the same thing everyone probably does, "what a chowder head"
purposely drowns his truck. but I had to laugh when he made fun of himself with the generator in the back and the comment about the crazy looks he was getting and people prolly thinking "look at this crackhead"
I give him credit for finding a solution and not just calling a tow truck.
funny stuff

I can't figure out why he needs to run all them damn lights to 4wheel in the day time. nothing worse then someone following you with them things turned on.

The Ford Rangers kryptonite!
Alternator location
It has been one of my biggest gripes about the truck. The other being the fuel tank capacity. While I donā€™t expect the truck to be able to navigate crossings that reach the windshield, the center of the wheel/hub is laughable.

You need the 3.2 diesel, stock wading depth is 800 mm. The alternator is right at the top, see pic of mine attached.
