Will 305/70/17 work with minimal trimming?

I am wondering if anybody has ran 305/70/17 tires? I am looking at the Toyo RTs 305s which are about 33.9x12.2r17. I really like that aggressive beefy look. However I’m not sure how 34x12s would work offroading. I know I’ll need to cut the crash bars but will these rub while turning even with the crash bars gone? Also if I am at full articulation will the rub a lot? I’ve seen some guys running 305s even 315s but I don’t know how much trimming is required especially for offroading

Edit: Forgot to include the suspension setup. Right now the truck has a 3” level

Having some idea of your suspension setup would help.

Yeah that might be a good idea huh... haha. Totally spaced out on that part. Right now it just has a 3” level. Might do a fox or eibach setup in the future but either way the the front will stay at 3”

I have a 2.5" and going to delete air dams and crash bars and trim bottom of back liner and black crush box. Going 305/70/17 with 1'spacers I'll report back with rub and how much extra trimming I had to do bro ?? if no one replies back before me

I'd want legit suspension before running 35s.

35s are pretty big for these trucks especially for the front end. The rear axle can take 35s all day long.

The 305s are 34s barley so I think with a light weight cooper discoverer at3 XLT only 57lbs is ok or anything under 60lbs I know some 33s that weight 69lbs

Depends on lift and offset.
Stock the tire will hit the spindle iirc, and you may hit the crash bars and fender liner on full turn. Offset will help the spindle clearance, but make everything else worse.

Even if they barely clear, they will hit offroading if you turn and the result will be some damage/scuffs to the fenders.

Yeah but suspension doesn't gain you clout on the gram. ;)

I have the 3 1/2 BDS kit. with 285 7017‘s the other day I saw one in the parking lot with what looks like a 2 1/2 to 3 inch level kit no upper arms. It had 305 17s no cash bars and trimmed bumper and valance from what I could see. It had aftermarket wheels not sure what kind.
